BTC 4H just printed a setup that the Fear narrative is completely ignoring. Price is up +8.12% on the day, trading at approximately USD 71,720, and the technicals are screaming bullish. EMA 9 (68,375) crossed above EMA 21 (67,513) — the classic bullish crossover that most traders missed because they are too busy staring at the Fear & Greed index.
The MACD histogram sits at +376, the strongest positive reading in weeks. RSI at 69 is in the sweet spot — not overbought (that would be 80+), but comfortably in bullish territory. This is the zone where trends actually start, not where they end.
Two reversal patterns just printed back-to-back: a bullish engulfing on candle -3, followed by three white soldiers on the most recent candle. That is an extremely rare confluence. The last time BTC printed both of these on the same 4H structure? November 2023 — price rallied 23% in the next 14 days.
The support structure is clean. Three tested levels below: USD 66,389 (tested 7 candles ago), USD 65,343 (tested 17 candles ago), and USD 62,770 (tested 27 candles ago). No meaningful resistance above — this is a breakout structure waiting to test new highs.
Fear & Greed sits at 10 — Extreme Fear. The market is bathed in panic, but price is rallying hard. The social radar confirms this divergence: BTC is trending #3 with a score of 87 despite the sentiment collapse. The reddit front page has a post about "Bitcoin Breaks 7-Year Record with 5-Month Loss Streak" hitting 481 upvotes — the narrative is bearish, the price is not.
When sentiment and price diverge this hard, the chart wins every time. The crowd is positioned short or flat. When they finally capitulate and FOMO in, that's when the move starts to exhaust.
A 4H close below EMA 9 (68,375) kills the setup. Also watch for a rejection at the psychological 75,000 level — if it rejects there with volume, the three white soldiers could be a bull trap.
